Olympia is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Olympia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is my first time in the store. A friend recommended it to me. I walked around for a bit just to look at things, I wanted to pick up a few items. It looks for a really long time for one item specifically, I would recommend recommended to get from here. I couldn’t find it, lots of people were walking around and filling shelves and stocking. Eventually, someone was able to help me and couldn’t locate what I was looking for. Asked a few other people, and we found it, yay! I think I would have had a better experience if I went when it was less busy, lots of people running around lots of customers, and they usually don’t mind, but this was too much for me. I will go back when it’s less busy.

Cool place, employees are helpful and friendly, exceptionally clean restroom, very good selection of organic foods, fruits and vegetables, and natural products, including but not limited to health and beauty, and home essentials. I would strongly recommend this business anybody with the interest in, or need for the products above.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Olympia Food Co-op for many years. It was my go-to spot for raw goat’s milk, local produce, organic groceries, and the salad bar—conveniently close to my house, where I shopped multiple times a week. Unfortunately, the store has become an extremely unpleasant and unsafe experience due to the large number of homeless individuals who now dominate the area. They linger in the parking lot, approach customers aggressively for money on the way in and out, and appear to watch cars closely, waiting for anyone who forgets to lock their doors. Multiple times I’ve seen people checking car handles right after customers walk away. Inside the store, the situation is just as bad. They sit at the tables and chairs with their backpacks and belongings (which look like they’ve been living in tents and woods for long periods), eating and taking up space meant for paying customers. Their hygiene is very poor—unwashed clothes, dirty hands, and overall conditions that make it uncomfortable and unsanitary for families, kids, or anyone wanting to sit and enjoy food from the co-op. Theft seems rampant. Staff appear to tolerate it, but the result is higher prices for everyone

Great food selection with good sales. Lots of vegan treats... I could live here. People that work here are kind, healthy people. Set down my phone and keys in a weird place thst I didn't remember setting them and I thought someone had broken into my car, but they found them for me before I lost my cool. They are cool. Vegan cheesecake and cinnamon rolls? Shit. I know I left something else there...

We tend to stop at co-ops, and enjoy the ones in Tacoma, Seattle, Pt Townsend, Mt Vernon, and Bellingham, but we will not return to this one. It is relatively small and prices are typical, but the spiritual ambiance is uncomfortable. My wife decided to go back to the car while I browsed. When I returned, she saw a panhandler appear from the side of the building, toss away a partial cigarette, and stride toward our car as I put my small purchase in the trunk. He was too slow to catch me and I didn'tsee him. She also told me that surrounding vehicles, most likely driven by employees in that small parking area, all had red steering wheel locks.
